MJ Bacon

Mary Joyce (MJ) Bacon is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who specializes in helping women. She completed her Master’s degree in Counseling at Georgia State University in 2006. During her clinical training, she treated women with eating disorders and anxiety. She has a special interest in working with the psychological aspects of the reproductive stage, including infertility, postpartum challenges, child loss, adoption, living childfree, and issues related to menopause.

MJ finds it incredibly gratifying to help women understand their needs and their biology so they can feel empowered and find effective coping skills. She believes knowledge is power, and she believes in women feeling empowered in every aspect of their lives. Together, MJ helps clients discover the factors that they can control and those they may not be able to control so that together they can find the best route to healing and wellness.

In addition to providing individual therapy, MJ greatly enjoys working with couples. As humans, we are wired to connect and form relationships. Feeling connected and supported by others is critical to living a life of fulfillment. And, when our relationships are the source of distress and pain, it can be difficult to feel fulfilled in any area of life. MJ supports couples working through a wide range of challenges, including infertility, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.

Each 50-minute session with MJ is $150. The initial 60-minute assessment session is $165. Currently, all of MJ's sessions are self-pay. However, if you would like to file for insurance reimbursement, she can provide a superbill. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, please reach out at 404-981-6165 or MJ@TriciaAnbinder.com.
